Avoy Christian Church invited community members to join them on Friday April 8 and Saturday April 9 to participate in a free painting event that took donations for Mission Scranton. The event almost maxed out at 28 sign ups for Friday and successfully maxed out with 32 sign ups for Saturday. This event was hosted under the instruction of @Katherine.joy.art and with the help of over 8 church volunteers!
The Paint ‘n Sip brought in community members and church folks to mingle and enjoy a fun time learning a step by step process of how to paint a landscape with a sailboat. The beverage choices were thoroughly enjoyed and every artist went home with a canvas of their work at the end of the session. Everyone who came, ranging from 6 to 88 years old, said they would love to come again.
Avoy Christian Church was thrilled with the response from the community’s interest and is planning to host another Paint ‘n Sip sometime in fall of 2022. If you couldn’t attend the first one, it is highly recommended for you come enjoy the next creative event!
